Monoclonal antibody 7.2 (anti-GAPDH), specific for the glycolytic enzyme GAPDH from Plasmodium falciparum, is available from the repository. This IgG1 mouse monoclonal antibody was raised by immunisation with schizont extracts and may also recognise GAPDH from other Plasmodium species. Antibody 7.2 is suitable for studies investigating parasite metabolism and protein localisation and may be useful in a range of immunological applications. The antibody was originally described by Jana McBride and characterised in Hall et al., (1983) Molecular and Biochemical Parasitology 7: 247–265.
