Monoclonal antibodies

A wide range of monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) to blood stage parasites are available. Most mAbs are against asexual stage antigens, although several are reactive with gametocyte and pre-erythrocytic stage parasites too.

These mAbs are primarily the products of hybridomas generated by Dr. Jana McBride, Dr. Graeme Cowan and Dr. David Cavanagh at the University of Edinburgh. A full list of all mAbs is given in the Reagents section of the website.
